Basic Info

          The Bass guitar is primarily a four stringed instrument that is normally played with the fingers and thumb. The structure is fairly similar to that of the well known Electric guitar. Some differences that the Bass guitar has from the Electric guitar include: a slightly wider body, longer neck, and the gauge of the strings are thicker.

          For a four stringed bass guitar, the strings are tuned to E, A, D, G. For a fived stringed bass guitar, the strings are tuned to B, E, A, D, G. The different notes for a four stringed Bass guitar are as follows:
